Development, Practical innovations and start-up skills and mentality: The core competences of Food4Innovations. Projects and Expeditions

  • 2019 - Burundi & Tjad

Two of the poorest countries in the world: Burundi and Tjad. I have been lucky enough to see the splendor of these countries with my own eyes. There is still a lot to do here for food processors and entrepreneurs in the coming decades. I hope we can do it in a beautiful and sustainable way.

  • 2019 - CBD out of Hemp

It all started with a vision. The view that nature always knows better. That many plants are healthy. That these plants produce a whole range of healthy biochemicals. Lycopene in tomatoes, beta-carotene in carrot. Or CBD in fiber hennip. We have developed the latest extraction method and the first large factory is now in Berlin at Becanext.

  • 2019 - Jordan mission

Jordan has taken in more than 1 million refugees in the north of the country due to the war in Syria. Together with Jan Hak and Wouter de Heij, they went on a mission to the country to see what forms of cooperation exist between the Netherlands and Jordan. We also examined desalination plants in two places.

  • 2018 - Egypt mission

Wouter joined a mission to Egypt. Wouter de Heij, especially in Cairo in the years before, looked at agriculture in the desert area and specifically how you apply land development in practice.

  • 2022 - Singapore mission

Cultured meat was the word everyone was going to hear in 2022. Singapore is the only place in the world where you can taste cultured meat. So after the summer I went on a mission. My personal goal? Taste cultured meat! Once must be the first time nature. My experience? It is a hybrid product, texture comes from the vegetable part. Going forward, I think textured vegetable ingredients will lay the foundation for these future vegetarian products.

  • Adobe Lightroom Gallery

I like to take photos and videos. The videos are on Youtube or Vimeo. I edit photos and put them on Adobe Lightroom Gallery or on our Synology Nas. Adobe Gallery can be found here. My apologies, private albums and business albums are mixed up. Knowing more? Mail to wouter.deheij@food4innovations.nl
